Teflon okay to use as feed pans?

I found some old pots and pans in the garage, and was wondering if it's okay to use them for feed and water pans? I know new teflon can adversely affect birds, but I thought once it was used some, the toxins were out. These are well used, so should they be okay?

My guess would be no. Because the teflon may chip off while the birds peck at the bottom of the pan

"They" say it's the fumes from heated teflon that poison birds, but then "they" never thought someone would be using same for feeding in. My vote also goes for not using them.
