I would be very interested to hear about everyones experience with khaki campbells ie personalities or how to tell what sex they are as they develope. And pictures! I'd love to see your KC adults and chicks.
I can't seem to find out enough about them!

I have some khaki campbell rouen crosses they aren't very friendly though, they always run from me. But I woudn't get rid of them for nothing! Mine haven't started laying yet, so I don't know 'bout egg production!

Khakis think I am the axe murderer.

Not friendly.

Lay lots of eggs.

Drakes get a curly "drake feather" somewhere around 20 weeks of age.

They really are not friendly.

Did I tell you that they are not very friendly?

I love mine I got the parents a little old but the babies are growing attached to me and I got 15 on lock down tonight want some day olds?

LOL! I don't want lap ducks! I WANT EGGS! It would be nice if they didn't fear me. They follow me around when I let them out of their pen, but it will be raining for quite awhile so I hope they don't develope more fear of me.

Here's ours as a baby:

She's kind of a freak, but I really like her. She's the smallest of our three big ducks, but she is the sentry and sounds the alarm if anyone/anything approaches. She was the one to chase the neighbor's puppy away, and is the first to charge at me when I come outside, or yell if I try to leave. I don't know if she loves me or hates me, since she often runs in circles around me, pumping her head forward and backward. But she gladly eats peas from my hand and seems to be interested in whatever I do. She's too young too lay yet, and kind of a freak, but I really like her!

I had 9 Khakis last year and they ran all over the place. You couldnt get within 100 feet of them. In the end I sold them all but they were good at laying. Thast the only good thing I have to say about them
