I know Mandarin are ornamental, and there may be laws related to owning them in some locations.

Naw I don't have to worrie about the law very few laws about raiseing birds in Ireland believe it or not

I also know that technically there is a ban on owning and transferring ownership of muscovies, except for use in food production in the US. The ban isn't being enforced right now. Technically the only legal muscovy pets in the US are those grandfathered in 2010.

I'm sort of surprised, and not surprised by that. I live in the Pacific NW, and our climate is similar in theory to parts of Ireland. Its a virtual waterfowl heaven where I am. So, I'm sure they'll be happy with you.
