Can someone tell me how I'll be able to tell the two sexes apart? Do only males start getting some white feathers on the back of the neck as they start to mature...or do the females do that too? I'm leaning towards only males get them but wanted to check with the experts here to be sure!

Thanks Tony. I guess I've got three males then...they're all three black and getting white behind the back of the neck. The Swinhoes are fiesty little bugars too! They hiss and act all tough when I go out there. lol

We have two 15 weeks old Dewlap Toulouse un-sexed goslings. I judge dogs at Championship Level, and have been closely watching this pair. One has a slightly higher rise over the head and a slightly wider head and thicker neck than the other. This one has a black/dark brown tip on the beak, the other has a white tip. The one with the bigger head and thicker neck and blackish tip on the beak, seems a tad more dominant too, which is leading me to think that one may be male?? Do they look any different before they lay eggs???
