I've been reading a lot about Marek's because I have an 8 month old polish hen that recently developed a severe limp. She's had it for about two weeks now. I checked her over and saw no signs of injury or bumblefoot so I thought maybe she just hurt herself being clutzy (she is a polish afterall). The limp seems to be getting worse, and she seems to be in pain in the hip area, if I touch her there she jerks it away so she definitely has feeling. Surprisingly none of the other flockmates have been picking on her and she acts completely normal, except for the limp. Most of the time she stands on one leg and holds her other foot a little bit off the ground.
Her other leg and wings seem normal.
How can I tell if her limping is a result of disease or if she got hurt and pulled/broke/dislocated something?
