The fan got turned off last night in the incubator. Turkey eggs.
It could have been for 8 or 14 hours.
The temp and humidity spiked. Wet bulb showed around 90 %.
Temperature spiked because of the humidity.
Egg temps were high. 104-ish.
I don't know how long they were at this temp for.
Opened the incubator up and cooled it back down when I noticed it this morning.
One set of eggs was in the incubator for 3 days and the other for 17 days.

What are the odds of me saving these eggs after this?
If they do survive this spike, what hatching problems would or could I be looking at?

These last two hatches were going to be mine because i sold all the earlier ones.
And I just stopped collecting eggs because I don't want to be butchering in January or February when it is the coldest time of year here in the north.
Plus the hens are slowing down production.

Should I maybe save one more clutch of eggs???

Headaches of farming animals.

your hatch should be fine, with a minor drop in rates. I would pull out another plug/open another vent if possible.

to ease your mind, everything that happened to your incubator; could have happened with a broody hen in nature.

I still wouldn't hurt to keep another clutch just in case.

Thanks loveourbirds
I opened it wide open to remove the heat and humidity as soon as I saw it. 5 Minutes later I had it back to where it should have been.

And i came to the same conclusion yesterday and started storing eggs again to see what the next batch in ten days does.

I think I should hard wire that fan and remove the switch so it can't happen again.

Late harvest is better then no harvest.
