Ok so I just built my first incubator. Has a computer fan, 15whatt bulb and a dish with a sponge under the wire bottom. The case is a styrofoam cooler I bought from Walmart. Since I don't have a thermostat I'm having to fix the temps by adding holes to the cooler. Works great. My thermometers both read about 100-102 during the day which is a little hot but not outside the hatch ability zone from what I've read but I'm trying to get it a little lower. Added a couple more holes and it stayed about 99-100. Awesome. But when I checked the temp high low this morning at some point during the night the temp dropped to 95 and was only at 97 when I woke. :/ my house isn't well insulated but I have it in the most stable room which stays between 70-80 degrees for the most part. Any suggestions for fixing my temp fluctuations? I have eggs arriving in a few days and want to give them the best chances. If a thermostat is needed I'll need to buy one today or tomorrow but it has to be cheap but reliable and hopefully something I can get from Walmart. Suggestions or advice?
