Hello

My incubator temperature just went up to about 104-105 degrees F for about 10 mins. We the embryos killed? Once I saw the temperature I immediately opened up the incubator and blew air on all the eggs until the temperature went down them i sealed it back up and, I'm currently watching it right now. Do you think the egg embryos survived?

Because it was only for 10 and not 10 hours I think they should be ok. Allthough the temp went up in the incubator it would take longer than 10 minutes to heat the inside of the egg up just as if the temp went down it would take longer to cool the centre of the egg. Allthough higher temps are more dangerous than cooler temps.

Are you using still air or forced air (fan) incubator? If it's still air it would only be 2-3 degrees higher than it should be.

Once your incubator has settled again I would candle the eggs to see what's going on. What day are you on?

Ok, thanks! Im not as worried. I have a incubator with a fan. And the eggs are on day 15 ish.

Hope the others have hatched or are getting on with the job by now.

That's great, congrats! :)

Have any of the others pipped yet? Have you seen the eggs moving and rocking at all?
