Hi,
I've just joined this site and I'm new to incubating and hatching. So, HI everyone.
I'm sure there's a thread about this but I'm having a little trouble finding it.
I just tried my first batch and had 0% hatch rate. After doing an eggtopsy on all 10 eggs I realized that they were all almost fully developed with just the yolk still on the outside of the body. They were moving when I put them in lockdown so something happened after day 18. I tested the temperature after the failure with 4 different external thermometer of different varieties and noticed that they all said the temp was 109 or greater while the built in thermometer said 99.5. I'm using a Little Giant Incubator with forced air and egg turner, Model 11300 that I'm keeping in a closet with the door ajar.
Here's the question: How can I adjust and regulate the temperature to be sure that it is actually 99.5? I'm about to start a second batch of 36 eggs and really want to have success. Any advice for temp and humidity control would be hugely appreciated.

I am having the same issue. I successfully hatched out 9 chicks out of 12 eggs. I am using same incubator and same method same place. Have 16 eggs in and 3 thermometers and 2 hygrometers. the humidity is reading perfect on both but all 3 temps read something different. and all are way off from each other. One says 110 which I know is not right the other says 97.6 and the one on the bator reads 99.1. I have no clue what is going on with them
