I thought it would be handy to have a place to post any ads for rehoming situations, so you can see everything available in one place. If you know of anyone who is rehoming feel free to tag them here! Please try to not clutter it up with unnecessary things! Please PM if interested in something. If you need some advice on rehoming, I have some tips here. If this is not your state, look for it here! I hope this will help animals in need of new homes find them!

Please read the rules for this forum here before posting!

Home needed in East Tennessee (Tri-Cities area):

Thistle is a handsome 6-month old Easter Egger in search of a new flock. He was sold as a pullet by TSC and is too big for my bantam hens (they are starting to hide instead of forage💔).

✅ Good with people🐓🕺👯‍♀️
✅ Excellent at alerting flock to danger & taking all hens to safety 🛟
✅ Ignores cats & dogs that enter his space.🐈‍⬛🐶 (This would likely be different in the event of a dog attacking his hens, though).

✅ Mostly respectful with hens—I say *mostly* because I have several Silkies and he is too big for them😓. It has been okay until I noticed him on one tiny bird for what seemed like far too long yesterday.

✅Peaceful co-existence with other 2 roosters in flock. In fact, one of the Silkie roosters chased him off today (he just spent 24 hours locked up to give all the hens a break from having 3 roosters.)

**I know this is probably because they were raised together, but my point is—Thistle will eventually be out of rooberty and be a fantastic flock leader (especially with more standard girls his size).

UPDATE—we decided to keep him. He’s doing better with the Silkies, so hopefully all will continue to go smoothly.
