Thanks to this amazing group and the wealth of knowledge shared I was able to hatch (well my broody was) not only our 1st ever hatch but one that was full of first time errors for both of us .. she stole eggs from her sisters so the eggs were a range of ages (some infertile and some over a weeks difference in development). The temperature outside dropped at night and 2 didn't hatch and then the rest were shrink wrapped and 2 needed assistance... but by some miracle we have 3 noisy healthy little chicks named wotsit, Quaver and Munch after the emergency nest box they are currently living in, in my living room
