I was just wondering today what I was going to do about a cold hen house and a muddy run this winter. Low and behold this evening your newsletter came through by email. Answered all my questions.
But I must admit, I do not think I will be having as many wet problems as you Pat! What is your chicken run on - stilts???
My chicken house is about 18" off the ground, not an awful lot I can do for insulation so I will most likely just add additional straw. Then again it doesn get as cold here (at the most we get -2 to -4 tops). But the run is directly on the ground so I am thinking of raising the run and in-filling with grit/gravel which should stop the mud (hopefully).
Perfect timing for the newsletter. I didn't know you were psychic as well.
