I'm jeweldeen and I am in central MS. We raise a variety of birds. We have Bantam White Black Tail Japs.

We also have a variety of hens strictly for egg production.

I look forward to reading and learning from you all.

White tail Japanese chickens are great breeds! They are so pretty! I hope you are enjoying them and their eggs!

Thanks for all the welcomes. Several days ago, I found the Black tail Jap hen dead in the nesting box. There were two chicks on the floor and 5 in the nesting box. I took them and put them in the brooder. They seem to be doing fine. I got chick food, but not medicated. Is that a mistake? I will keep them in the brooder for several weeks. Is that correct? They are so cute and fffaaaaaassttt little runners.
