My name is Gary and I am living in Hammond, LA. Thanks for the nice forum and website.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I raised chickens years ago along with ducks, guineas and pheasants. I currently have 12 chickens. Lavender Ameraucana and Olive Eggers, they are 3 weeks old.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

Lavender Ameraucana and Olive Eggers, they are 3 weeks old.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
We enjoy watching their antics and the way they act. We are looking forward to getting eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
My main hobby is wood and metal working. I have a full metal shop and a separate wood shop. I do YouTube videos about all topics where I feel I can share my knowledge and my projects. You can find me on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook under Skully Wood and Metal.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am currently retired and take care of my wife full time. She is into gardening and I help her with plants and flowers as well.

I found out about your site from a YouTube video by California Garden TV. I find these forums are a good source of information about almost any topic.
