Hi All-
I went from a mom that wanted to get chickens for the kids to experience to a Poultry 4H leader that randomly gets called "That Chicken Lady" on the street, and the resident chicken expert (eek) at a local educational farm. The problem is, I've read anything and everything I can get my hands on, but after 5 years of super healthy chickens, I've never really had to deal with any sickness in my flock until this year, and I need more than books to help me. I need experience! I'm looking forward to gaining wisdom from those of you that have lived the chicken life for longer, and I'm hoping being more present here at BackYard Chickens will help me gain even more much needed knowledge so that I can keep my flock healthy and live up to my new moniker!
