The ad said sex link but they look Thai to me!

I got these 2 birds on CL - the ad said they were black sex links and they were already boxed up when I got there but now that I have them home, they don't look like sex links at all!! I think they look like Aseels or a Thai game fowl. What do you think?

well i'm trying to rehome them because they are NOT nice to my 3 month olds... I will relist them on CL as game birds... do you think they are just mutts??

They don't look like sex links to me either, it could be they are at the awkward dinosaur/teen age stage but they do look like game fowl to me too.

They look like aseels, or shamos,or maybe a cross.... Definately NOT sex-links. I will be happy to provide A home for them. PM me if you would like to get rid of them. Good looking birds though.

Well, it should be just as easy to create a sex-link from a gamefowl as from the breeds traditionally used. But it seems odd that they wouldn't have said sex-linked game fowl.

Yeah, those aren't going to lay much. Oriental gamefowl aren't known for their egg laying abilities. They also take longer than standard fowl to mature. Potentially it would be an 8 month wait for eggs, depending on the time of the year they grew up in.
