After months of planning and waiting, the big day finally arrived. We were expecting the chicks to be here tomorrow, but at 7:30 this morning we got a call from the central Post Office in Stockton Ca. telling us the chicks had arrived there and we could come down and pick them up this morning or wait until tomorrow and get them at our local post office in Valley Springs. We rushed down to Stockton to get the Itty Bitties, they all arrived healthy and very anxious to get out of the small shipping box and into the roomy brooder I had fabricated. We now have 3 Partridge Cochins, 3 Dominiques, 3 Silver Leghorns, 3 Araucanas, 5 Speckled Sussex, 6 Black Australorps, and 1 Free rare Exotic chick that we have no idea what it is. They are enjoying their new home and keeping us all entertained watching their antics, as we are newbie's/ first timers at this.
