so for several days something has been nibbling on my garlic. Ok the garlic itself isn't missing just all of the tips
Then today one of my hens hopped into my lap and I smelled.... garlic breath.
So I went inside and sat by the window while I prepped for dinner and saw the chickens wander into the garden... and nip the tips off of the garlic
Then they discovered where I composted the large woody turnips and dug them up and ate all the centers out so I had these big hollowed out holes in spots of the compost pile. Those darn birds wouldn't eat the turnips when I GAVE them to them. They only wanted them when I composted them
Then I learned that they will chase off the cats and eat the cat food. I'm not kidding. one of the cats hissed at one of the hens today and the hen stared at her, pecked her on the nose and when the cat ran, went back to eating the cat food. So I had to take the cat dish up. Big brave scary cats
My chickens obviously run the place
