my hens will squeal on the roost at night. They make an eee eee eee sound. What does it mean? Sometimes followed with purring

When your birds roost for the night, it is their time to sleep/rest. What you are hearing is their relaxed breathing. Kinda like snoring. Cute, ain’t it? ;)
