The Chicken Whisperer - lap hens

Fortunately, we built our coop large enough to accommodate not only the chickens, but also 3 or 4 adults. We spend a ridiculous amount of time in the coop, and the hens (who have advised they are now to be referred to as hens and not chicks since they live in the coop) spend a ridiculous amount of time on our laps. We are all loving it, although they pile on 7 or 8 at a time. Cute now, maybe not so cute when they are full grown!

What kind of bedding do you use? That almost looks like corn cob bedding which is something I've often though about using.
