I’m so relieved I sold the babies, I was so confident all along, then when they were born and there were so many, I freaked a bit haha. Anyway, I kept 6, since I need a new male roux I kept all the gingers. One is very interesting, no pattern at all, smoothe red/chocolate all over, I’m curious to see how he turns out, I’m hoping he ends up with no lacing or barring at all.

I kept one of the Tibetans, the most tuxy. He’s a cute little guy. He has markings on 1 side of his face and not the other.

As I was typing this, someone contacted me about my ad, and wants to buy my males! So I’m hopefully meeting him this weekend and receiving another $30 woohoo.

U sound similar to me lol few months ago hatched 33 courtainx quail out of 48 eggs...2 didnt make it i sold 22 nd kept 9 i kept all the texas AM the 2 gingers and lovely gorgeous grey and yellow and black speckled i love hatching n i do it again but man 33 was a lot of work lol how many did u hatch out of how many eggs? X

I hatched 31 out of 39. My turner stopped for 3 days so I lost a few late.

I hatched one like your solid red chocolate. That's exactly how I described it to my friends "a deep chocolate red color". It's two weeks old now and has lightened up to a color that reminds me of clay by a river bed. I'm a bit disappointed as I was hoping it would keep that rich color.

The chicks are 6 days old now. The cocoa colored one is subtly more brown. It’s hard to catch on camera, but here’s my best try:

The normal scarlet is on the left, and cocoa is on the right.

Cocoa definitely has a different look. He doesn’t have the vibrant red bars at the ends of his feathers and he has no lacing at all so far. All of the gingers are really pretty though, they have their own individual appeal.
