The color Lavender - attn FluffnStuff

I have a lavender Cochin hen.. I got her 2 yrs ago at TSC as a chick..

A grey silkie doesn't involve the lav gene at all. a grey is basically a partridge with a silver gene.

Judging from your avatar, you know about gray silkies. So where does the silver gene come from? Is there such a thing as a partridge silkie?

Silver is present in some strains of whites. Yes, there are partridge silkies

Does anyone have a pic of a Lavender Ameraucana. I ordered Blue Ameraucana eggs and hatched 10 chicks. Some are "Blue", some are Black, I have one splash and the others are a "light" gray. Is that considered lavender?

Thanks,

Molly
