The coop is far enough along that we moved the chickens in today.

With our chickens more than 9-weeks-old, I finally got the entry door installed today and moved the chickens into the new coop permanently. I still have a lot of little things to finish up, like trim, painting, more hardware cloth around the run and over the windows, and eventually a roof over the run.

Good job!!!

Like you, I still have some finishing touches to complete on my coop,
but the girls have been living there for a month now and are loving it.

I do not yet have a small chicken door,
so I go out every morning and open up the main door and let the girls out.

I also want to do some trimming and painting.

Congrats on your new coop. It looks very nice!

Great looking coop. I enjoyed seeing the process and your chickens. I also have golden comets and barred rocks (8 weeks).

Thanks for all the compliments. I finally took a break this weekend since they are in the coop. And it turned cool, in the low 50s, and raining.
