I’ve owned a handful of roosters but never before have i seen such an adorably awesome one.
Let me start by saying i have 7 chickens (as of now) and Peep is at the very bottom of them all. All of which being girls.

Around 3 months old, he’s a black tailed white japanese bantam.

He has literally been at the bottom since birth, poor guy i must admit is a tad wimpy.
Every day i come home from cow volunteering he will run to me and he follows me around for a very long time, running at full speed (not in an aggressive manner, because he wants to snuggle)
No one lets him sleep next to them and he always inches closer and closer on the rod because he likes to touch, but everyone beats the poor guy up so he has to sleep alone.
He really is the sweetest rooster ive ever had, and let me say, his “clucks” every noise he makes, is a high pitch squeak. Higher pitch then a squeaky dog toy.
Are all *the majority* of Japanese roosters like this? (Curious incase i ever happen to get another so im not as afraid of getting a demon.
Will he stay sweet and squeaky forever? I really hope so. I hope he doesn’t turn mean and beat the other chickens up.
When can i expect him to start crowing?

I also want to ask some questions about eggs (i’ve asked before, but i forgot.)

If i get fertile eggs, should I refrigerate or leave them on the counter? I heard refrigeration could cause the eggs to take longer to hatch, but what if its super hot out or super cold? Whats better?

Do i need to turn them in the fridge (or on counter) to prevent the yolk from stinking to the membrane? And they would be fat side down i assume?

If a rooster mates a hen, and the hen lays an egg a day later, the fertility would last, but what about two or three days later? And how many eggs does it keep? If one egg is fertile and the next day she lays another, will both be fertile?

Thanks!

Are the others older than him? I've had them crow anywhere from 4 weeks to almost 5 months.
2 are his age and same breed. Another one is the same breed but around a year. She considers them all her flock but makes sure they know shes on the top (Out of the 4 of them)

The other 3 are much older. One a standard size, bantam cochin size, another a large. A little under 2 years.
