The day August came into my life

So tiny. Much smaller than her/his siblings. Fit in the oalm of one hand. I didn't think this lil chickadee was going to survive.
1 month later, although August seems to be developing slower than other chicks at this age,she/he has grown to about 4 x the size the day I saved her/him from dying in the dirt .:)

August is doing great! Smart lil bird.
I am very pleased to share his/her growth.

I have observed that she/he is developing at a slower rate than the others from the same brood. Also quite a bit smaller. When a hatchling was tiny and weak compared to the rest of the brood.
