Is anyone else out there worried about corn prices skyrocketing due to the drought??
I saw this video today on msnbc.com: http://video.msnbc.msn.com/nightly-news/48682225#48682225
"They" are saying corn prices, including (of course) feed for chickens because corn is a main ingredient, will increase at LEAST 40% soon.
I only have my small backyard "flock" of my 6 pullets, but because I live in Alaska, I am sure that prices for us (due to shipping) will increase dramatically. I am concerned about all the many chicken 'backyardigans' and chicken farmers with much bigger flocks out there who will be affected by this drought. What do you all think??
