The Elusive, The IMPOSSIBLE *picwarning*

If those are hatchery birds, you should be commended on the obvious care you give your birds. They shine with health and vitality.

Care = opening the coop door and throwing them onto 9 acres all day, every day, rain or shine and providing a little hi-pro food now and then, sorta. I yell, "go eat bugs" if that also counts. I really like PRs and Dels and my Barred babies for their durability.

My BR Ponder was just chewed by a coon and is recovering nicely and providing me an egg a day while sitting in my library in a parrot cage, lol. Fortunately as a baby she spent a lot of time in the house and is totally unphased by being in with me and the dogs.

I love Partridge Rocks and I just got some show quality Partridge Cochin/Partridge Rock cross eggs - yay.

Next stop - better pencilling

Good job for all 3 of you.

I am surprised not more of your gals did not go broody. Many I have talked to that only have one or two say they have a hard time trying to keep them from going broody. I guess that particual heritage trait never got bred out of the partiridge rock. From what I have been hearing they could challange slikies to be top brooders.
