Since the chooks were little they have been deathly afraid of the evil broom. Not just any broom mind ya, only the broken down porch broom. I used it for herding when they were babies. Brought it out for old times sake the other day and yep, it still terrifies them.
Tonight I needed to handle Thor and donned one of my DH's jackets to keep from getting scratched accidently. This jacket is hideous - white, black, blue/green.

It would never had been bought had I been in the store with him to stop it.
Took care of Thor and took the jacket off and layed it across the nestboxes while I tended to other things.
Later, wondering why the chickens wouldn't go in the coop.
That evil jacket of course.

My silkie hens are the same thing with large sticks

About 4 ft long and 1-2 inches in diameter is about the size. And when they're brooding they go ninja on it

I can pet them fine, but when a stick gets near.... BAM!!!!

bye bye sticky!

Imp, we bought the super soaker version of your evil broom intending to use it on the cat. My DH thought it was fun to use on THIS Kat, so I gave it to the GS.
