Thanks for the tips and greetings! Today's the day! I'm happy with 4 just as egg layers but my husband would like the meat after a while of having them. Would you introduce a rooster later or get them all at once as well?
and Welcome to BYC! Good luck with your new girls! As everyone else said, if you get same age ones all at once from the same source (especially if they were kept together) it really cuts down on the drama and potential problems. If you are not sure you want a rooster right now, an adult rooster is usually pretty easy to integrate into an existing flock of hens later on, but he would still probably need to be quarantined which is a nuisance.
