My girls are a year old and had been producing about an egg each per day. Last week, they stopped laying. At the same time, I had installed a PVC silo-style feeder, and accidentally bought the wrong feed. We usually use Nutrena Country Feed, Layer 16% crumble, but last time I got the NatureWise version. It's essentially the same, but a vegetarian version. I removed the feeder and replaced it with their usual one, thinking that the alteration had upset them, but they still haven't started laying. I picked up their regular feed today, but haven't given it to them yet. I'm hoping that does the trick, and that I can put the PVC feeder back in! They don't show any signs of being egg bound, or any distress at all for that matter. They're eating and drinking well, too, just not laying. Does any one have any other ideas or suggestions?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
