"Hello everyone, I am Korean. I incubated a goose egg and a white goose was born. However, the goose was born with a deformity. Its neck was twisted. I have been taking care of that goose continuously. Recently, there was a problem with the goose. Its neck was twisted to the right, which caused its left eye to swell. Despite seeing a vet and being given some eye drops, it didn't help. How can I help my goose's eye? My English vocabulary is at an elementary school level. I am using a translator to write this. Thank you in advance for explaining in terms I can understand."

Poor duck!Has the neck been this bad?Can he see from that eye?
Yes, the goose was born with a disability, and recently one of its eyes became swollen. If that eye is the left one, it was confirmed that the left eye still has vision. I'm worried. ㅠㅅㅠ

This looks like an infection, either a respirator or nasal infection or a limited infection in the eye. Geese need water to dip their head in to clean their eyes and nose so it’s possible because of his limitations preventing that he could have ended up with degree in the eye and an infection.

I don’t know what’s available in Korea but enrofloxacin also called Baytril is a common antibiotic many of us use for our poultry because it’s broad spectrum and will treat a lot of conditions. If you can ask your vet to prescribe it that will likely treat the cause.

Keep on giving the eye drops also until the condition resolved itself.

Thank you for the information. Can you show me a picture of the drug? I'm going to show it to the veterinarian.

It will likely come in different packaging as it’s available in different packaging even here but this is the version I’ve purchased, it can come in liquid or powder form.

It’s a veterinary often prescribed to dogs, in the U.S.A where I live it’s used off label in poultry.
This is the dosage according to plumb’s veterinary manual.

Some other options to try for if Baytril isn’t available or doesn’t work are Tylosin
