The hens got a diet change!

Instead of Flock Raiser today they got Oats, Boss, and Cracked Corn. They LOVED it!!!

That is basic scratch, not complete feed. Although I do admit that I have been feeding heavily a combination of oats, barley, birdseeds, BOSS and corn- about equal amts of each mixed together in addition to the feeders being full of Layena. We haven't been free ranging and it's been cold so we feel the need to indulge the girls a little bit while they are confined and molting. It''s interesting that the thing being left until last is the oats and cracked corn! good girls I tried sprouting the oats and that was ok, but they weren't jumping for joy. I should start another batch.

Thats fine because my girls get food scraps, free range, and sprouts.
