and went to chasing and having fun with Sir Rooster and his girls. I had just fed the dog not 10 mins before and Kathyrn was still outside feeding and collecting eggs when she come running up the deck " Mom, Molly's out" she was hysterical. I was able to get Molly to thankfully come to me and I got her put back up and secured. She had used her nose to push the latch up to open her door up ( we fixed that problem). She wanted to play with the birds ( Sir Rooster is her favorite). Everyone was accounted for and no teeth marks found. Sir Rooster turned his head away from me when I tried to tell him it was not my fault that the hound got out. Sir Rooster is the one that she plucked bald a few years back.

I have a beagle/basset hound that gets out of the dog yard when ever see can !! drives us nuts because she will dig a hole up against the fence us her head the lift the fence out of the way--lay on her side push herself under with her back legs - everytime we find the hole and fix it she digs a new one

but what drives us crazy is she only has one leg in the front and she still manages to dig LOL

that is why this spring we are putting in a wooden fence with a mild shock wire around the bottom

I think we could keep buffalo securely in our yard

My husband's cur and my pointer are the main culprits. We have 6' welded wire, pipe fence and a hot wire top and bottom. Now they're trying to dig under the house instead, and I have no idea how to stop that. The dirt here is just so soft.

I'm lucky, all my dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, horses, etc all get along. They know if they don't they won't be here long!
One day a few years ago when my Mozart was young, he's a Pyrenees, he and one of my cats were playing chase in the front yard and the cat got her claws stuck in his heavy fur around his neck. He kept on running flying her somewhat like a kite! A neighbor pulled up honking like crazy because she though the dog was trying to kill the cat.
Mozie also brings me baby anythings he finds. He tried carrying the baby ducks around when they arrived so he had to move to the back yard.
I'm glad none of your birds got though, that is scary!
