Skip and I are both fools for the Bungalow/Craftsman style homes and spend too much time drooling over ones that are up for sale in this area.
I think it's funny though, we're working on plans for what we'd like to build when we move to the family farm in Arkansas and it doesn't reflect those styles nor is it the straw bale home we've been dreaming of (but it could go that way with Bungalow/Craftsman touches).
I love bungalows. There are sooo many for sale around me unfortunately their all in town and not of any acreage. It made my decision for me. That is a beautiful example of what a bungalow should be.

Somethings have changed, about 15 yrs. ago they painted the brick Battleship Grey. I haven't been it it since my parents sold it in 77. If you look at the picture the top row of windows that was my 3 brothers bedroom. On the top right was my 2 older sisters bedroom and the top left was mine and my younger sisters bedroom. My parents bedroom was downstairs. It was a large house for a large family. I always described it as a 2 story house, but the paper Say's it's a 1 1/2 story. If you want to see more of the homes that are featured in the Historic Article look at the smaller write up on the page and click on Historic Homes at the bottom. All of the homes are in the neighborhood I grew up in.
