i thought that too

Well, I've never hatched anything yet but read alot. When you hatching without a auto turner the eggs have to be turned a few times a day so you can't keep them on the big in at all times! I know that's how they reccommend you storing hatching eggs.

Great idea using the aquarium it will make watching them hatch fun. I would have a blanket or towel handy if the temps in your room drop at night, that way you can wrap it up. A lot of heat can escape through glass.

Happy hatching!

some people tell me to turn them by spinning them then i've heard to flip them... which way is correct?

I'm not sure. You read all kinds of things. I know someone made the commet that a broody hen doesn't sit on her eggs the way there placed in a auto turner. So I'm guessing as long as you turn them the 2 or 3 times a day like you supposed to you should be fine.

I have almost all my stuff together to make my aquarium incubator. I'm going to use the rubber shelf liner on top of the hardware cloth and incubate mine laying down and turning like that. Guess we'll see how it works. And remember I've never incubated anything before so this is all about what I've read.
