(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We just got our first chickens back in April.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We currently have 9 wonderful little chickens.
(3) What breeds do you have?
1 - Tiny, shy, and curious Salmon Faverolle
1- Super friendly Barred Rock
2 - Sapphire Olive Eggers
1 - Americana who is shy as can be!
2 - Midnight majestic Marans
1 - Welsummers
1 - Easter Egger
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Being able to enjoy their fun personalities. We bought them for the eggs, most expensive eggs we've ever bought. But just hanging out around them is a joy!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
We like hiking, gardening, sewing, and crafts. And working on cars
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We are a military family, both my husband and I . Have a wild child toddler and three dogs that don't believe they are dogs.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Found it through the internet searching! And it is always nice to be apart of a community! Especially when you are the new one on the block just trying to keep your hens alive!
