Good morning everyone.
Just wanted to say hello to everyone!
I decided to open up this thread. I'm not sure there's any out there like it; I haven't taken the time to look but I figured this is a good place to start as any to document, express and share your trials and tribulations, successes and failures, what you've learned and what you would do differently as a newbie chicken hatcher/breeder.
Other newbies, intermediates, and highly experienced members please feel free to chime in and share as we can all learn from each other and each other's journeys... I no doubt will share mine.

What type of thermometers do you use in your incubators? What type is your go-to? Be it dial, digital or the old school with the rising liquid?

Thank you for asking I have quite a few hatchings occur.
All with ship eggs.
It has been kind of hectic here at home but I will post pictures and what I've been through and hopefully other people can chime and share and advise.

My journey began a few of months ago when I corresponded with another member of this awesome awesome forum and she was gracious enough to ship me some eggs from a project line she was working on.A culmination of great effort, work and planning on her part and I was honored that she agreed to ship me some eggs for me to hatch and continue her line as well.

The line what I'm talking about are Lavender Crelles.
