That looks great! Man I wish I was handy.

We are allowed to have chickens here in Los Angeles too, just no roosters like NYC. Also, the coop has to be at least 20 feet from the primary residence and 35 feet from any neighbor's primary residence. Do you not have that restriction there?

Hi Stacey,

I think I will use aluminum soffets that are already vented. I have been looking for scraps from construction sites. There are also two side vents in place. Have fun!

Hi Skatcatla,

I don't think there is a distence restriction for placing the coop. I called a vet/health inspector about rules and he never mentioned that. But, mine is far from my house and my neighbors house.
