We tried hatching some A & M's in a friends LG. 3 out of 41.

Well, just went out and 1 was dead in the brooder with only 2 left. 11 yr old DD asked for them to please some in the house so no more die. What am I supposed to say? They are now in a little bird cage PEEPING! Wow, they are loud. They are now 8 days old and do have some feathers. One has considerably more feathers and is a bit larger. Male? Thanks.

The LGs are great incubators but it takes practice to hatch out quail. You won't know the genders of the little birds until older. Females will be larger but still it's best to wait it out...also males tend to call out more...just what I notice..

Thanks so much. We are thinking about trying to hatch again, in our new Brinsea Eco 20, and she likes the white A & M's-do you happen to have those eggs for sale and are NPIP? I just got tested and am currently waiting for my number.
