The last set of eggs that i will be hatching this year came today.
I am going to the dark site now . I joined the silkie cult, well sort of. I got six showgirl eggs. All i really want/need is one or two SG pullets and I am happy. I really hope for a partridge showgirl and a white one. So i guess i got to heat the bator up now for the last time. I will put them in tomorrow which should give me a hatch on april 15th. What amazes me the most is that the eggs were very simply packed.JUst some crushed newsprint one the bottom, wrapped in some papertowel, then put in a egg carton, covered with some more newsprint . No "careful hatching eggs" or so. Just fragile this side up. They came with their aircells intact and not a single crack. I guess less is more sometimes.
