Hello, I have 5 EEs and they are all sticking their hackles out and fighting. At 10 weeks I still can not tell if they are male or female. I only know that I have 16 chickens plus a couple of bantams in a 32 feet by 60 foot run and I've got a bunch of Velociraptors in there.
Do only roosters do this hackles thing?
I just saw my black chicken do this today for the 1st time and she has always acted like a hen.
