The beautiful ones are always the jerks, lol. He may grow out of this stage though as he matures if you intend to keep him, he's at that teenage stage.

He may be a jerk because his hormones are getting moving sooner than the girls are. I've found that cockerels that are in with similar age pullets with no mature hens around usually get a little... insistent on mating even though the girls aren't ready for it yet.

I think we do plan to keep him.

Crossbred cockerel. Could be an Easter Egger but you'll never know for sure as he won't be laying eggs.
