Service animals and therapy animals can be vastly different. Therapy animals are the broader of the two categories and I feel the one that suits poultry better. If the animal reduces your anxiety it can be classified as a therapy animal. My last investigation into this matter was about 3 years ago and at that time you only had to have a doctors note that the animal served a medical benefit without stating any specific medical diagnosis. In fact people can't even ask what your medical condition is that the therapy animal serves, medical diagnosis are covered under HIPAA and even your doctor can't tell people what it's about.
