I'm really excited because I am getting 11 ducks. They are hatching on March 25, and coming that week. They are coming fro McMurray Hatchery in Iowa so they are having a long trip to the coast. I'm am all new to ducks so i need tips because I want all our ducklings to live a long and happy life.
Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
As babies don't let them swim for too long as they will stay soaked and get cold. They do need water that they can stick their whole face in for drinking because if how they eat. I've seen people use bowls with a lid and they cut a piece of the lid away so the ducklings head can fit in but not their whole body. You'll have to change water all the time.
