I'm soo excited & wanted to share, since nobody in my house cares. (I'm the only female in my house)
I am hoping that I'm right and these 3 maybe 4 eggs are live, I won't be totally heartbroken if not. I'm on learning curve here and already tried letting my geese hatch theirs and nothing(I need someone to vent check) I tried incubation with a couple duck eggs and that was a bust (won't do that again) so I'm back to natural, kinda.. My geese have taken residence up in their large kennel in my back porch and are currently sitting on 10 duck eggs each. My ducks are too busy being ducks to sit themselves and my girls are dedicated so I figured why not. So with all this said I'm happy that finally something is going right! I'm a newbie so advice, constructive criticism is OK I won't get offended as long as everyone remembers what works for 1 isn't always the way for another. Also, Harriet and Henrietta, I'm assuming he's a she again lol, a very spoiled and they are not stuck in the kennel I let them out when they ask and more often than not I have to make them go out :)

If I wrote the date right it was the night of the 5th when Harriet got her own nest of duck eggs. So that would make them day 6?

congrats! Those eggs look great!
I hope they make it to hatch! Your geese are doing a great job 😁

Congrats on getting your geese to do the sitting!

I have 2 American Buffs, and when Gussie started laying eggs, she and Golly were intensely protective of the nest. I was SURE Golly was a gander because of the fierce way Golly protected Gussie's eggs. Nope. Two girls.

This year, they have decided to lay up next to the house foundation, and I sometimes find both their eggs and a runner duck egg in the nest. Since I have runner drakes, you have almost made me consider seeing if my geese would hatch the eggs.

Then, I force myself to remember I HAVE TOO MANY BIRDS.

Best wishes on your hatch. Would love to see how it progresses!
