I have a WC blue splash Polish hen, Milly. She's adorable, but a bit- umm- special. She's just a flighty, wacky thing. We got her with all the other chickens in May. The rest of them (Red Stars & Dominiques) have been laying for months. Not Milly. Not a sign of eggs from her. I don't really care, since when I ordered the chicks, the Polish were my "fun" chickens anyway. But- today I saw her very willingly let the rooster mate her. Up to now, any time he tried, she'd shriek and run, then spend the next five minutes (or so it seemed) running in circles and squawking. He'd just watch her like she was nuts! So, maybe we'll see some nice, little white eggs? Maybe?
