they are COMING!!!

After being on the waiting list for 2 months, holderreads finally emailed and said my bantam duckling assortment is in route!!!! I am bouncing off the walls with excitment, but there is supposed to be a thunderstorm tonight and I am so worried about them! My empty brooder in waiting for them in the dining room. . . I can't wait!!!

I remember the excitement of finally getting my email, and then the next day--the phone call!!

Mine are four weeks old now, and doing great for the most part (I lost two, one to a congenital problem and one due to a mistake I made with bad feed, alas).

I do love them VERY much. Very typey compared to my McMurray ducks.

And don't worry. Shipping is usually very safe for them. They will be in covered facilities and/or vehicles throughout their trip. And it's very obvious to workers that the box contains live animals, and they are sure to be very careful with them, especially when they hear their dear little cheeps and see their little bills poking through the air holes in a friendly manner.

Everyone is making me sooo jealous haha... My holderread order was supposed to come last week, this week and next being alternates... I still haven't got an e-mail yet for this week

Yay! I got my first e-mail telling me when they were going to ship three weeks in advance, and I was so excited I came and posted here right away! Finally, after weeks of waiting, the actual shipping notification came - a week before my scheduled shipping date! The next day, I got a phone call at 11 a.m. telling me they were at the post office!

Mine are a month old today, and they're all doing great. I'm SO impressed with my ducklings from Holderreads!

I ordered Dutch Hookbills, and I got some Stanbridge Whites as well in my Bargain Duckling Assortment.

I'm waiting for pictures of your baby Bantams!
