They aren't laying

After a dog attack a few months ago my hens stopped laying. I have 16 hens and am only getting one egg per day. What can I do?

Wait.
I had a dog get into a run. Didn't kill anything but scared the hecc out of the flock. I got 2 eggs that day and not another for the next two months.

They are not very smart, but that said chickens are not dummies. Why should a hen expend her energy and body reserves to produce eggs that in turn produce baby chicks, if the hens have good reason to believe that there are so many dangerous predators in the neighborhood that none of her chicks will live to adulthood.

Where are you located, south of the equator? Could it be the molt?

I think it is just stress.
A woman under severe stress doesn't ovulate. Same with chickens or any other animal.
Eggs won't be forthcoming if the hen doesn't ovulate first.

Could be stress from the attack.

How old are your birds?

Where are you located in the world?
Here in the northern hemisphere, some molting has begun.
ETA: Just looked at your other posts...in N. Washington, molt is a good possibility.
