Can they get their feet through those bars on the floor? I would be fearful of an injury. Then again, I'm overly cautious of everything concerning the girls.

Hi Heather. They look just like the batch Grif's had about a week ago (we got four) - we were told they were "assorted bantams", not very helpful! Wouldn't it be ironic if they came from the same source? Anyway, my girls and I are comparing to what we already have, and they really resemble the color, leg feathering, and upright posture of Rumin our buff Brahma bantam rooster. He's small, friendly, and quite a character. Maybe that's what you have too! Thank goodness they look healthy - have fun.

Do your cochin chicks have the feathered britches...I can't quite tell from the photo, and I don't know the official name, but to me they make the chicks look like they're wearing bloomers. If so, my chicks might be cochins too. I wouldn't mind that, since cochins are such a great breed. It would also be an excellent breed for Heather to start out with - she'd be hooked for sure!
