I thought maybe my chickens were board and want a new perch in their run. So I figured I would check the coop for an egg thinking yeah right there wont be one til spring. I look in there and there was and EGG!! Not sure who layed it but Bess the one in their with it scratch around and covered it. I shoo'd her away and dug around for it and found another EGG!!! both were really cold so I know they were not just layed. So now I have a newbie question. If one egg was layed yesterday and it froze over night is it still good or will the freezing temps change the viscosity of the egg?

This is technically the second egg but the first one I seen

it *might* change the viscosity of the egg but if it's not cracked I would just scramble it up and eat it. I have done it many times and once it's cooked you can't tell it was ever frozen.

I think they are fine for baking, but not so good for eating by themselves. And candle to check for hairline cracks. If they really were frozen sometimes it can crack the eggs shell
